Sacrament of marriage helps in creation of strong families - Archbishop

Couples who were married last year yesterday joined Archbishop Paul Cremona in a Mass he celebrated for them at St John’s CoCathedral.
In his homily, Mgr Cremona said he felt encouraged by the couples’ presence.
Public opinion usually projected broken families and this led many to be afraid of tying the knot.
Faith, however, filled one with courage and hope for families to remain united.
Mgr Cremona said he was conscious that the number of broken families in Malta was on the increase because of economic and social reasons. However, there were still many beautiful and strong families and this was because they lived the sacrament of marriage.
The values resulting from this sacrament led to the creation of a strong and solid family.
